- Silver Seas -

Monarch spreads its wings, majestic claim
Over standard bearing starlight now englazed
Fallen still, had no need and never will
For weapons, only color, wind & seed
On softly glowing embers, bellows breathe

The empty shell, a frame, reveals a fullness that repeats
Only symmetry remains complete but underneath

Seconds stretching miles prove certain victory for a child
But losing breadth in time left the earthly cold unknown
Built the towers high
Saw silver seas and seven shrines
Sold it all for dimes
To see the simple skies aglow

Darkness was the fear on which to feed
Climbed the staircase high to save belief
And stayed until the glass was slowly filled,
Leaving only clarity and need
Climbing from the depths they now receive
